Accepting and understanding...

Most everyone around the world is prejudice in different ways, some more extreme than others; but no matter how extreme the prejudice is it will always have a negative effect. People have always had and will always have their differences, but we do not have to be so ignorant and discriminate against different ideas, races, sexual orientation, or religions;(even though most denominations cause discrimination themselves.) Though I also don't agree with people slapping other people in the face with their life styles. Whether it be a racist not treating one person as fairly as the other for obvious reasons of being a racist, or a very religious person telling you what their beliefs are for the consequences of your actions while trying to convince you that they are right about what they are telling you.

Racism

Also if you're a racist have you ever had that half a brain cell telling you to stop and think why you don't like different skin color so much, to just hate the person that it's on? There is not much else to say other than that, because it is just a color after all. The fact is no matter what the skin color is we are all people, we like to have fun, we love, and we dream. So if you are a racist, you are exactly like the racial dictators that have started wars. The ONLY difference is, is that most of you don't have any power to do anything with your close minded opinions.

Discriminating Gays

If you're straight, do you think you are attracted to the same sex? No. So why should being homosexual, lesbian, gay, bi or what ever you want to call it be any different? It only takes common since to realize that it is just as much of a choice to be straight as it is to be gay/bi. If you think about it instead of just throwing it off as an abomination, why would people CHOOSE to risk getting bashed, disowned by their family, and the stress it must involve when in an area not open to it when "coming out"? Although there are people that probably become gay/bi because of their own life experience, (or for the lesser majority) they might do it for attention, but the majority are guaranteed to actually be gay for those who claim it. It has been around since the beginning of time. If you are still unsatisfied with that much information, and you think something as close minded as "well god wouldn't make people that way since it is a sin", or anything else, then maybe knowing that there is scientific information to support that being gay/bi is not a choice might change your mind. Being gay/bi is in the blood, BUT even if it was a choice, why can't you just let it go? Does it really hurt you that much to where you have to drive them to depression, living a lie, or suicide? Well this isn't about people being over dramatic, because that's exactly what happens. Dislike people for good reasons that actually effect you, and not just for some generic reason that has nothing to do with you. I do also understand that your view has a lot to do with the way you were raised, and/or the people around you, but be your own person with a moral mindset, it would make things so much easier on everyone to avoid all the nonsense. Yes, it's a lot easier said than done but NO ONE is hopeless, the problem is - most people give up and say these ignorant close minded people are hopeless, don't give up on these people, don't fight them, don't give them reasons to hate you, and I really do think it would pay off to become that stronger person.

Groups/Clicks

This is something that I have never really belonged to personally. I also think for the most part anyway this is a problem on a much smaller scale compared to the last couple topics, that eventually dissipates after leaving your high school/juvenile days behind. Yet still grouping people, labeling people, and then bashing them for ludicrous reasons is discrimination in it's child hood stages, and can still cause damage to others. I have seen first hand how the "popular crowd" really works. You're in, or you're trying your best to get in by doing everything necessary to gain acceptance. These people that try to get into these crowds usually have low confidence in themselves and will attempt to show off by insulting or belittling a different classification of person, for example "nerds", "emo", "outcasts", ext. Sometimes it could also just be the "popular" ones themselves that try to hurt others. This is considered small drama, but drama people have to live with drama as long as they go to school. So, something like this to the victim of this drama will build up over time...there's your damage. Not fitting in when you're desperate to, and being bashed by the desperate year round. I do realize high school isn't this kind of hell for everyone, but I'm speaking for whom this concerns. There will always be secrets, rumors, and backstabbing especially if you work your way up brutally, that's exactly how your "friends" and social life will be. Also another thing I would like to point out is school shootings. School shootings are often caused by these actions of immaturity. Again, if you're mean or unfair to someone consistently, it will have a terrible effect eventually. All it takes is for that person to get to their breaking point. It doesn't always have to be a school shooting, they also sometimes just kill themselves, or release their stress in many other ways. To close this up I just want to say for the wanna-be popular bitches and bastards, get over your minor insecurities, and lack of imagination or someone will get hurt!

This is all meant to help you accept the fact we are and will always be different no matter what. Understand that just because you don't share the same thoughts as another does not give you the write to try and change them, destroy them trying to, or treat them any different than the person that is a clone to your ideas. Things are getting better in time, but it wouldn't hurt to try and make this progression sooner.

People say its hard to overcome our differences, I say the reward for overcoming them should make it easy~
